The kennel VOM HAUS FLAMBOYANT, previously registered as CASA DO FLAMBOYANT, was founded in 1976, in Rio de Janeiro, by its current owner, José Graça Aranha.

In 1995, the kennel was transferred to the medieval city of Coppet, at the Canton du Vaud, in Switzerland. Since 2000, the kennel has also been established in the region of Conservatória, in the mountains of Valença, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in a place with a very pleasant climate.

Its owner, José Graça Aranha, is an attorney-at-law and a professor of law. He started breeding German Shepherds at the age of 15. Today, in addition to his professional activities, he is an International Judge and a Körmeister in Switzerland and in Brazil.

He is a member fo the German Shepherd Club of Rio de Janeiro (SPARJ) since 1974, the SV from Germany and the SCS from Switzerland.

The kennel’s future owners, Julia Graça Aranha and José Graça Aranha Jr., with 16 and 13 years old, respectively, participate actively in all activities of the said kennel.
